One Hit Wonders...
Does anybody remember these guys? This group was from DC and came out with this one song in 1995 and then they disappeared. This was the JAM for a couple weeks.
There's TONS of good music from one hit wonders. What are some other One-Hit classic songs?
The 90's saw some of the best R&B and HipHop, IMHO. If you play just about any rap or r&b joint from the 90's I know all the words. But nowadays I don't even bother memorizing them. The words aren't worth it, for most songs anyway.

I Got A Man is listed in the current issue of Vibe as one of the 50 top duets of all time, but it turns out that Positive K did the girl's voice himself. They just sped it up. WHO KNEW?!
And I remember when my little brother called me a few months ago after seeing the Blackberry video on VH1 Soul. He was like, "Bobby Valentino was in that group!" I was like you're late, kid. LOL. Real late.

A few songs, but none worth mentioning. Anyway I listened to Hay at least 10 times Friday on YouTube. My FAVORITIST line was,
"Thank you Jesus Christ for all the hay you've given us!"
WOW! I just closed my eyes and listened to it on youtube and...you're right. I've been bamboozled all these years. I always wondered why the byline never said "Positive K f/ MC High Pitched Hood Chick"... that damn Postive K!
Rell, I was fooled too. I mean even if they sped it up, he had all the "attitude" and extra stuff. I just refuse to believe that nigga wasn't putting his hand on his hip and doing a neck roll while in the studio with that joint. SMH.

I listen to Kut Klose and Brownstone on YouTube at least once every two weeks. Brownstone also had this hit called 5 Miles to Empty that did well on the R&B charts, but most people still missed it.
I saw Snoop's wife on a documentary about hip hop wives talking about groupies and she quoted the Mokenstef song. I was like, "Your a$$ is clearly TOO old to be beefing, if that's your comeback."
LMAO about Jim Jones Ballin'! That will definitely be the one and ONLY hit for that brotha. What about Laffy Taffy by D4L and Knockin the boots by H-Town.
I hear you Good, but D4L had "Betcha Can't Do It Like Me" and a whole gang of other hits. Besides the preceding sentence being complete bullshit, I think the H-Town knockin the boots is a good call. Oh the memories...
