Martiiinnnn...

Today I was in Best Buy and discovered that Martin (Martin Lawrence's 90's sitcom) was released on DVD this month. I picked up the first season. I almost forgot just how funny this show was. I personally believe that it was the funniest sitcom to ever hit television.

I challenge anyone to come up with a funnier show. Towards the end, it got a little stale, but he had a good three or four year run of pure comedic genius. The above clip is one that highlights one of my favorite characters that Martin played on the show.

Dragonfly Jones was a cocky, degenerate "Kung Fu Master" that traveled around the city to teach Karate to people along with his underpaid, "inferior" assistant. The best part was that he always owed his assistant money and would never pay. In return the assistant would kick his ass during demonstrations.

His trademark was trying to intimidate his opponents by doing random, obscure shit since he really didn't know how to fight.

Peep the clip...

This is DeShawn Jackson III, I would have to disagree with you that Martin was not the funniest show. Martin is an over rated comedian that needs to just stick to stand up.

Not only is he overrated and not being funny since his Martin You So Crazy tour; he is a dirty man that can't keep his hands to himself.

Just to drop a little Intelligence to this Ignorance WILL & Grace is the funniest show ever.

Will and Grace! LOMFL! I picked up the Martin Season 1 and it is hilarious. It is definitely the funniest show of all times. (First 3 seasons) Will and Grace is witty, but definitely not funny the way Martin was. I've never seen anyone going to school the next morning reenacting Will and Grace skits. I did it every Friday morning back when Martin was on.

I can't wait to pick up that Martin. I wasn't too hot on it when it was out, but I love the reruns now.

Will & Grace is okay, but it ain't Martin.

Will & Grace is DEFINITELY a funny show. My favorite white comedy of all time but we're comparing apples and oranges. It's kinda like saying whose better, Carrie Underwood or Fantasia.
